I am impressed and amazed that your kids would eat this. Mine would go running for the hills and the closest chicken nugget the minute she saw it- never mind taste it. I'm sure some caterer can make nuggets look fancy for her wedding reception...
Julia, it was a glorified hot dog with coleslaw and potatoes so the kids did cleve a favor and gave it a try. They hurled a ton of snark though as they ate. Who could eat that without making jokes?

Wrong. Never open the sausages like that. It spews up all the juices hence drying them up. Otherwise, looks tasty! When do we come for dinner?!
When I opened up the cover I knew I did something wrong but the recipe didn't warn me. Kids said it tasted better than it looked.
Gimme a name and I'll consider the invite!
Looks bad, tastes good.

@Malk
I wouldn't know. I had grilled chicken salad, duh.
That is pretty grossifying GG11.
Myself, although I am not of the Jewish persuasion, I have always wondered about this delicacy they call the Gefilte in a jar.
It reminds me of specimens kept in formaldehyde in my biology class - waiting for the next dissection course.
A picture of the stuff!

In case you're wondering, the above comment is mine. I just didn't sign in properly.
Danno, the gefilted fish should NEVER be bought. The homemade kind is a whole other animal....fish.
